We do automatically collect certain information when you visit our website, including your IP address (which is anonymized), browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and other diagnostic data. This information is collected through standard web server logs and analytics tools and is used solely to understand how visitors interact with our website so we can improve the user experience.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of the limited data we do collect through website analytics.

Because we collect minimal personal data and your tool usage data never leaves your device, most of these rights are inherently protected by our architecture. ThinkaBell does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising cookies described in section 3, which you can control via the consent banner.

We are committed to complying with all applicable data protection laws and will respond to verifiable requests within the timeframes required by law (generally within one month under GDPR, and within 45 days under the CCPA, each extendable where permitted). 8. Data Retention

We retain the limited personal data we do collect only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. The table below summarizes our retention practices:

• Tool input and output data: Not collected or stored by us at all — it remains on your device and is retained only for as long as your browser keeps it in local storage or until you clear your site data.
• Cookie consent record: Retained for up to 12 months to honor your preference and meet compliance obligations.
• Aggregated, anonymized analytics (Google Analytics): Retained by Google for up to 24 months in line with Google's retention settings; this data cannot be linked to you individually.
• Server log data (IP address, anonymized): Retained for up to 30 days for security and diagnostics, after which it is deleted or further anonymized.

When personal data is no longer required, we delete it or irreversibly anonymize it. You may request earlier erasure of any data we hold about you under section 7.

9. Children's Privacy

Because our tools run entirely client-side, children can use them without creating an account or submitting personal information to us. The only data that may be collected is standard, non-identifying analytics and advertising data handled by our third-party providers (Google Analytics and Google AdSense), which are configured with child-directed settings where applicable. If a parent or guardian believes their child under 13 has provided personal information to us directly, they may request its deletion by contacting us using the details in section 13, and we will promptly remove it.

10. International Data Transfers

ThinkaBell is operated from servers located in the United States, and the limited personal data we process (such as anonymized analytics and consent records) is stored and processed in the United States. Because all tool processing happens locally in your browser, the substantive content you enter into our tools is not transferred across borders at all — it never leaves your device.

Where we rely on third-party providers such as Google (Analytics and AdSense), personal data processed by those providers may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. Google relies on Standard Contractual Clauses and its Certified EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification to lawfully transfer personal data from the EEA and the United Kingdom in accordance with applicable law. By using the Service, you acknowledge that such transfers may occur as described in this policy and in the privacy policies of those providers.

11. Privacy by Design

Privacy is built into ThinkaBell at the architectural level rather than added on afterward. Our client-side design is the strongest privacy safeguard we offer:

• No server-side tool data: Every tool performs its work in your browser using JavaScript. Text, files, citations, and converted media are processed locally and are never uploaded to our servers.
• Data minimization: We collect only the anonymous, aggregated analytics we need to operate and improve the site, and we anonymize IP addresses before processing.
• Local-first storage: Where a tool remembers your work between sessions, it uses your browser's local storage rather than a remote database, so your content stays under your control.
• Consent-first tracking: Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you grant consent through our banner, and strictly necessary cookies are kept to a minimum.
• Transparency: This policy, our cookie table (section 3), and our published practices describe exactly what we do and do not do with your information.

This privacy-by-design approach means that, by default, using ThinkaBell leaves no personal copy of your work on our infrastructure.
