ATS-friendly formatting matters because most large companies and recruiters use Applicant Tracking Systems to scan and rank incoming resumes before a human ever sees them. The new ATS panel scores Match, Format, Length, and Contact completeness in real time, then surfaces the specific keywords you're missing for a job description you paste into the Prompt Assist tab. The three templates (Classic, Modern, and Minimal) are all designed with ATS compatibility in mind — standard fonts, clear section hierarchies, and clean headings that parsing software recognizes.

Privacy is guaranteed because everything runs in your browser. The URL fetch goes through api.allorigins.win (a public CORS proxy already allowed by our Content-Security-Policy) and is converted to plain text on your device; we never see the URL or the response. PDF, DOCX, and image parsing use the open-source pdf.js, mammoth.js, and tesseract.js libraries, loaded only when you actually use those features so the page stays fast. Auto-save keeps your work in localStorage between sessions, and the Clear button wipes it permanently.

Tips for each section: keep your professional summary to 2-3 sentences that highlight your most relevant experience and skills; list work experience in reverse chronological order with action verbs and quantifiable achievements; include only education that's relevant to the job or shows a pattern of continuous learning; curate your skills list to match keywords from the job description without exaggerating. For template selection, Classic works best for traditional industries like finance, law, and government; Modern suits tech startups, marketing, and design roles where a slightly bolder look is acceptable; Minimal is ideal for creative fields, academia, or any situation where you want the content to speak for itself. All three templates keep your data intact when you switch, so feel free to try them all before exporting.
